1) Where Can I Find Father Of The Bride Speeches ?
Hi I’m looking for help with father of the bride speeches.. I need examples and a guide that tells you how to write a good/funny speech… thank you

My cousin got married not long ago & my uncle found a really good guide that he used to make a great speech… one of the best father of the bride speeches I’ve ever heard…

you can find more info here:

http://www.fatherbridespeech.info

2) Anyone Know A Good Uk Site For Wedding Speeches-Bride Father?

try;
www.hitched.co.uk
www.youandyourwedding.co.uk
www.confetti.co.uk
all have information and will probably be able to direct you to more info/ books if you want.
Good luck!

3) Do You Know Of Any Websites That Have Father Of The Bride Speeches?
My only daughter is getting married this September, Her dad would like to say a few words at the reception but is not very good at making speeches and a little shy speaking in a crowd. He would like to find something he can read with alot of sentiment.

http://www.weddingspeechbuilder.com/fatherofthebride/speeches/weddingspeech.cfm?CFID=1616678&CFTOKEN=25331200

hope this helps there are tonz of wedding speeches out there that you can find on the web, this lets you choose good lines that will match up to the daughter

4) What Would Be The Most Memorable Way To Write Wedding Father Speeches?
How would one approach the father of the bride wedding speech so as to ensure the best possible speech?

People often overlook the importance of a good intro to any speech. I firmly believe that if you can hit a home run with your intro then you are halfway to speech stardom. Remember that the day is not about you and do not try to get out of the limelight as fast as you can.

Don’t just say nice things about the bride. Include some examples of the great things she accomplished and the contribution she made to the family. In the whole process try to convey to the guests why she would be an awesome wife and mother. A little humor thrown in can also spice things up but don’t try to start a career as a comic. And lastly practice, practice, practice! It is probably the last chance you will have to praise you daughter in public and it might even strengthen your relationship if done well. 3) Wedding Speeches?
I’m the best man at my brothers wedding tommorrow. What is the orer of the speeches, groom, father of the bride, best man and whoever else? Thanks for all input :-)

The father of the bride speaks first – then the groom (on behalf of the bride) and finally the best man.

Any other speeches aren’t “traditional” so I guess theres no real order to them!

4) What Is The Order Of Speeches At A Wedding Reception?
My sister is getting married in September and I’m the maid of honour. I’m just wondering who does speeches at the wedding (like the father of the bride, groom etc), and what is the order?

Formally: Father of the bride, Bridegroom, Best Man.

3) What Should I Say At My Wedding Speech To My Brides Father?
He has never really been a part of her life & never bothers with her which is why i dont like him.
I dont want to come across as rude or in any way upset her .Really what should i say in my speech as wev nothing to thank him for.

Ok well that is not a time to appear bitter so just say something short and sweet. Hows this; I would like to thank -state his name- for his beautiful daughter and promise to take good care of her’ ( That will have a double meaning only to you since you know that YOU will do better than he did) It should be a very happy occasion leaving any animosity or problems in the past behind. PLUS you dont know the entire story-was their a divorce? Thats often why guys are not a part of her life since the moms dont let them and criticize them but I better butt out since I dont know the details. Congratulations and let any upsetting thoughts go for the day and just be happy

4) Does Anyone Have Any Sensible Suggestions Or Alternatives To The Formal Wedding Speeches?
I’m after a ‘party’ rather than a wedding reception ‘do’ to celebrate my marriage and don’t particularly fancy the idea of the best-man, father-of-the-bride etc speeches. Any suggestions?

Its your wedding – have what you want – or don’t want.

You don’t have to follow any traditions.

Just don’t have the speeches if you don’t want them.

xx

5) My Dad Is Not Going To Be At Our Wedding Reception – Who Should I Ask To Do The “father Of The Bride Speech”??
My dad is going to be at the ceremony and walk me down the isle, but he has a thing about crowds and does not want to go to the reception. Any ideas on who should be next in line? Or should we miss this speech all together??

Is there another special person in your life that could take this place???

My real father didn’t walk me down the asile, and was not at my wedding, the hero in my life is my step dad. I would not have had my real dad do this for me even if he wanted too.

Think of someone who is special to you, and ask them.

6) Where Can I Find Wedding Speeches?
Where can I find father of the bride speeches

In the father of the bride’s heart. Nothing like a genuine, personal speech that comes from yourself.

7) What Is The Order Of Speeches At A Wedding Reception?
My sister is getting married in September and I’m the maid of honour. I’m just wondering who does speeches at the wedding (like the father of the bride, groom etc), and what is the order?

Formally: Father of the bride, Bridegroom, Best Man.

8) Who Has To Make A Speech At A Wedding? Is It Just The Groom, The Best Man And The Father Of The Bride?
I am the brides mother and I wanted to say a few words. would that be in order?

Well seen as me father is in the pub , maybe you should mother , but don’t you dare mention Tarquin or our Petronella , or Aunty Cissy , or how much money it’s cost you ……xxxx

9) Do You Know A Website For Mother Of The Bride Speeches?
I asked another time for father of the bride speeches but husband said he doesn’t want to stand in front of a huge crowd and say something. I feel I should say something at my daughters wedding and yes I think I am going to be extremely nervous so I want something simple and to the point.

Try something from here: http://www.freeweddingspeech.com/?id_category=47

It’s okay to write it down… and change it around to suit you and your daughter the best.

Congratulations :)

5) Is It Appropriate For My Partner To Mention Me In His Father Of The Bride Speech.?
We are not sure if it is appropriate for my partner to mention me in his Father of the Bride speech for his daughter. Her mum will be there. WE have contributed money towards the occassion and we were just bot sure what was right.

Ask the daughter what she wants. It is her day, not yours.

I wouldn’t single anyone out as that would be tacky. Just state that “we” or “the family” is very happy for them. That is inclusive, which is what a wedding is all about: Bringing families together.

The money comment, “we contributed money…” is very wrong. She will come to hate you if you try to buy her love.

6) Examples Of Father Of The Bride Speeches?

“She’s your problem now”
“At least now I’ll be able to use my own phone.”
“I hope this is the last time she’ll want any money, I’m broke now.”

Wedding Bride Speeches – my 3 Tips

October 31st, 2009 Stephanie No comments

1) Wedding Speeches From The Bride And Groom?
Me and my husband-to-be, are both not confident about speaking in front of a large amount of people. We are thinking about doing a joint speech, how would you feel if you were at a wedding at the bride and groom both stood up and picthed a speech?

Also, any ideas where you can read old speeches for a bit of a template.

its gr8 i mean if you both give a joint speech it will show ur love and how comfortable u people r together…………..and the firstb thing u do after marraige together then it shows that u people always do everything together and agree to similar ideas….less quarreling……
go ahead>>>>>>>>

2) I Need Help Making An Interesting Bride Wedding Speech?
I am the bride and didnt make a speech at our engagement party so have been told i should make a speech at the wedding. So i am. The problem i have is that i am a perfectionist and have problems writing things. Can someone please give me some inspiration on how to re lay stories or jokes? Examples of speeches would be GREAT!!!

There is absolutely no reason you have to give a speech.

No one can write your speech from you. Call it a toast if you decide to give one, it sounds less stressful.

Focus on why you’ve decided to marry your fiance. Discuss. Raise your glass. Drink. Sit back down.
