Wedding Speech From Bride – my 8 Tips
| 1) Wedding Speeches From The Bride And Groom? |
| Me and my husband-to-be, are both not confident about speaking in front of a large amount of people. We are thinking about doing a joint speech, how would you feel if you were at a wedding at the bride and groom both stood up and picthed a speech?
Also, any ideas where you can read old speeches for a bit of a template. |
| its gr8 i mean if you both give a joint speech it will show ur love and how comfortable u people r together…………..and the firstb thing u do after marraige together then it shows that u people always do everything together and agree to similar ideas….less quarreling…… go ahead>>>>>>>> |
| 2) Pre-did Speeches To MOTHER OF THE BRIDE FROM WEDDING GUEST? |
| im attending a wedding and was asked to say a speech TO th emother of the bride. i need some good websites with already done speches or somthing |
| Google is our friend. Please start using it. http://www.google.com/ A quick google search revealed lots of sites. Please check them out. http://www.freeweddingtoasts.net/ http://quotations.about.com/cs/weddingtoasts/a/bls_wed_toasts.htm http://www.freeweddingspeech.com/?id_category=60 http://www.aragia.com/ http://www.keepandshare.com/htm/wedding_planning/wedding_speeches/best_free_wedding_speeches.php This last site will write the speech for you. As most speeches are to the bride and groom, I am not finding pre-written speeches to a mother. I suggest you incorporate parts of speeches from the first sites, then add your own thoughts to mother-of-bride. If unable to write this yourself, then you can pay to have a speech written for you. And yes, one can google those sites also. And it is not so hard to say: See more advice here: |
| 3) What Are 5 Rules For The Groom From The Sister Of The Bride? |
| in the wedding speech from the sister of the bride what are 5 rules for marrying the bride |
| 4) Can Someone Help Me With The Mother Of The Bride Speech For My Daughter’s Wedding Reception? |
| It not only is going to be a stressful day for me on my daughter’s wedding day because I am divorced from my daughter’s father and I have not seen or talked to him for many years but my father is very ill and my parents cannot travel therefore they will not be attending the wedding. I need help with writing the speech for the reception and wanted to incorporate my parents not being there on the day to see their first grandchild get married. |
| ok – maybe this will get your own thought process working! lol its the speech my dad gave at our wedding i know that as our guests look at the happy couple they see a young woman and her husband but what i see is a little different. |
| 5) Wedding Toast/speech Help? From Sister Of The Groom? |
| I need to prepare a special occasion speech for a public speaking class. 3-5 minutes long. I am doing a toast for my brother’s wedding. It’s only 1 minute so far…
Good evening everyone. It is with great joy that I say congratulations to my brother Craig and his beautiful new bride, Tiffany. They say there is someone out there for everyone, and I think that Craig has definitely found his other half with Tiff. |
| Sounds good except for the VERY beginning. “It is with great joy that I say congratulations” came off sounding like a reverse eulogy to me. Maybe you could say, I am honored and elated to be standing here to honor two of the most special people in my life, my brother Craig and his beautiful new bride, Tiffany.
Kudos on killing two birds with one stone by using your toast as your speech topic for your class! |
| 6) What Is The Worst Wedding Speech That You Have Heard Of? |
| Or maybe not the worst but the most unforgettable that you’ve been to. Either from bride, groom, best man, or maid of honor. |
| My father was the best man for my brother. During his speech, he said that my brother picked up his new wife “on the corner like all the others” and kept her because “she did a good job with him”. It was SO embarassing for everyone, my brother and his wife were motified and my dad didn’t think he did anything wrong. Comparing the new bride to a hooker, nothing wrong with that, right?! That was pretty bad…
Good luck! |
| 7) Wedding Speech For A Bride!? |
| ok I was married previously and after 5 yrs I left and got divorced.
I was shocked at the amount of prejudice there still is in this day and age about divorce and had quite a hard time with some friends and family voicing opinions…plus had quite a hard time from ex husband who just wouldnt let go and things turned nasty and lawyers wer involved. Anyway I haved moved on now engaged to great guy and have a 2 yr old boy who i adore and i am getting married again…a small and intimate affair. I want to say something kinda saying about my past and even tho i was divorced once marriage i still take marriage seriously but just dont know how to put it into words any ideas? |
| That’s a tough one! I wouldn’t bring it up. Maybe you could 2say something like “I’m looking forward to creating a happy family with my son and wonderful new husband. Here’s to many joyous years together.” i think that very subtly says that this is something you are taking seriously. I think you’re right. There is too much prejudice against 2nd marriages. It’s always a happy occasion when two people find love – no matter what happened in the past. |

| My sister is getting married soon and I’ll(brother) be delivering one of the speeches.. Anway, I wanted to say somewhere in the speech, “…the bridesmaids are looking very nice, but not as beautiful as the bride is tonight” Something like that. Does this sound weird coming from her brother? Let me know what you think. |
| No, it’s not weird. It’s so sweet coming from a younger or older brother. I think it’s cute of you to compliment her. =) You could say that “the bridesmaids look beautiful, but the most beautiful person tonight is the [insert adjective -- blushing, happy, etc.] bride.” (I think that’s phrased better and less likely to hurt the bridesmaids’ feelings.) |
